Students appointed to TIM Programme
Nominated by their home NRENS, new students joined the third TIM Programme cycle, which started in March. Together with their mentors they will be integrated into the work of the Trust and Identity Incubator; brainstorming and researching innovative solutions together with T&I experts. We wish them a great journey and will be following their work.
Earlier, students worked in the Incubator on other exciting T&I topics. Adrián Rošinec joined TIM to work on Provisioning, where he developed an end-to-end solution to provision user data from a VO platform to Windows based virtual machines. Ondřej Ernst joined the programme to work on implementing WebAuthN, a novel way for two factor authentication. Both came from CESNET. Their experiences in the incubator, and the experiences of their mentors were published in CONNECT Online last year.
TIM is an initiative that enables a sponsoring NREN to bring together ambitious young minds and subject matter experts to pioneer and prototype new ideas in the T&I field. The initiative takes the form of a six-months internship with the GÉANT Trust and Identity Incubator
TIM is also supported by Future Talent Programme, the GLAD initiative that offers professional skills development to young professionals in the community. The application round for the next cycle ends on 5 September 2021. If your NREN is interested in joining TIM Programme with a student, contact us at glad@geant.org.
